Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Variable shifts, typically 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, with on-call every 6 weeks including weekends and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from ortho, trauma, cardiac, urology, pulmonary, and GI surgeries
Monitor vital signs, manage pain, and assess patient status in a 22-bed Phase I and Phase II PACU
Collaborate with charge nurses and assist with lunch relief to keep the unit running smoothly
Read telemetry strips and respond to ICU-level recoveries as needed
Float to other units as required, ensuring seamless patient care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Colorado or compact state (NLC)
Minimum 1-2 years of ED or ICU experience required
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
Experience with Epic EMR is preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced PACU environment
Proficiency in reading telemetry strips and managing post-operative patients
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented unit
Comfortable with on-call responsibilities and flexible scheduling
