Location: Bakersfield, CA

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 8-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays; on-call rotation with 30-minute response time

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform high-quality X-ray exams on patients of all ages
Operate GE and Toshiba imaging equipment safely and efficiently
Prepare patients for procedures and ensure proper positioning
Maintain accurate patient records and image documentation
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care
Adhere to radiation safety protocols and infection control standards

Qualifications

Current ARRT certification in Radiography
Valid BLS certification (American Heart Association)
Minimum 2 years of recent X-ray technologist experience
Strong knowledge of anatomy and positioning techniques
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and patient care skills

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in Radnet and Merge Unity PACS systems
Experience with GE and Toshiba X-ray equipment
Knowledge of contrast studies including brain, MRCP, abdomen, pelvis, and extremities
Skilled in starting IVs? No, but comfortable with contrast administration if needed
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high volume (100 studies/day)
