Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating; every 3rd weekend required; 36 hours per week

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide critical care to premature and high-risk neonates in a Level 4 NICU
Perform Foley catheter insertions and central line dressing changes maintaining sterile field
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including neonatologists and midlevels
Deliver compassionate family-centered care to infants and their families
Float to mother-baby and labor care as needed, caring for babies only

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of NICU experience in a Level 4 setting
BLS and NRP certifications required; Cardiac STABLE certification strongly preferred
Excellent sterile technique for procedures like Foley and central line dressing changes
Cerner EMR experience is a plus
Previous travel experience preferred
Must live or relocate within 50 miles of the facility

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in caring for premature infants, cardiac defects, genetic disorders, and surgical neonates
Comfortable with ventilators, Philips telemetry, and ECMO/cooling therapies
Strong teamwork and communication skills in a fast-paced environment
