Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: Day (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM) and Night (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM), including weekend rotations (6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule).

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population on the PCU, including cardiac and stroke patients
Monitor and interpret telemetry, titrate drips such as Heparin and insulin
Collaborate with charge nurses and techs to manage frequent admissions, transfers, and discharges
Float to Med/Surg and, if needed, ICU/ED for appropriate patient care
Participate in team-oriented problem-solving to overcome daily challenges

Qualifications

Valid RN license in Nebraska
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
At least 2 years of recent PCU experience preferred
Must pass a comprehensive medication exam with 90%
Driver's license required for radius verification

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in titrating and managing IV drips
Strong telemetry interpretation skills
Team-oriented with excellent communication
Ability to adapt quickly to high-flow unit demands
Comfortable floating to various units as needed
