Location: Bakersfield, CA

Start Date: 06-16-2026

End Date: 09-15-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (with rotating weekday call after 4:30 PM and rotating weekends)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform cardiac imaging, SPECT, bone scans, bleed studies, and gastric emptying studies
Operate GE equipment and utilize Radnet and Merge Unity for EMR and PACS
Ensure high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining patient safety and comfort
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team to provide accurate results
Float to Mercy Downtown facility (approx 6.5 miles away) as needed

Qualifications

Valid California Nuclear Medicine Technologist License (CA NMTL)
Current BLS certification
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Proficiency in cardiac imaging, SPECT, and other nuclear medicine studies

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of GE scanners
Experience with Radnet and Merge Unity systems
Strong patient care and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to cover call shifts and float to other locations
