Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings for neuro patients, detecting arrhythmias and changes
• Titrate critical drips including Amio, Cardizem, and Insulin to maintain patient stability
• Provide comprehensive care for patients with neurological conditions such as CVA, TBI, and spinal surgery
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure rapid response and optimal outcomes
• Perform bedside report and maintain accurate documentation in Cerner EHR
• Float to tele units and ICU overflow as needed to support the team

Qualifications

• 2+ years of RN experience in a Level 1 trauma center or similar acute care setting
• Active RN license in Arizona or compact state (NLC)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Neuro experience highly preferred
• Ability to interpret EKG and pass dysrhythmia exam
• Comfortable with sterile technique for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong EKG interpretation and telemetry monitoring skills
• Proficient in titrating heparin, Amio, Cardizem, and insulin drips
• Excellent patient assessment and critical thinking abilities
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR and WOWs
• Understanding of sterile field maintenance during procedures
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-turnover environment
