Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $62 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional nursing care to patients on a 22-bed Med Surg/Ortho unit
Manage post-operative care for total joint replacements (knee, hip, ankle, shoulder) and spine surgeries
Monitor patient vitals, administer medications and IV therapies, and titrate drips as ordered
Collaborate with a dedicated team including charge nurses and patient care techs
Educate patients and families on recovery plans and discharge instructions

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska
Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
Minimum 1 year of Med Surg or Ortho experience preferred
Willingness to float to MedSurg, Rehab, or PCU as needed
Driver's license required for radius verification

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical skills in medical-surgical and orthopedic nursing
Ability to manage pain medications, antibiotics, and blood products
Excellent teamwork and communication abilities
Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with telemetry monitoring and interpretation
