Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating days and nights, every other weekend, every third holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide advanced nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a fast-paced Progressive Care Unit
Manage patients with cardiac conditions, nephrology issues, strokes, diabetes, and continuous EEG monitoring
Titrate critical drips including Cardizem, beta blockers, and seizure medications
Collaborate with charge nurse and patient care techs to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as required to support hospital needs
Utilize critical thinking and communication skills to problem-solve in a dynamic environment

Qualifications

Current RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Driver's license required at submission
Minimum 1 year of PCU experience preferred
Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation
No artificial nails allowed per policy

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Positive attitude and willingness to help others
Experience with cardiac monitoring and drip titration
Ability to adapt to fast-paced, high-acuity environment
