Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts, 6:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend and holidays required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a 24-bed med/surg telemetry unit
Monitor telemetry strips and interpret cardiac rhythms
Manage patients with CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, CKD, and other medical-surgical conditions
Collaborate with charge nurses, house supervisors, and nurse educators
Work as part of a Virtual Integrated Care (VIC) nursing model
Float to other med/surg units as needed

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state
Experience in med/surg telemetry nursing
Excellent communication and time management skills
Ability to read telemetry strips (tele monitor techs available but RNs must interpret)

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking
Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and ECG interpretation
Ability to manage multiple patients with varying acuity
Team collaboration and adaptability
