Roles & Responsibilities

Provide safe, patient-centered perioperative nursing care in the operating room
Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and OR team members to ensure smooth procedures
Maintain sterile technique, instrument counts, and OR safety standards
Monitor patient status, document care, and communicate changes promptly
Contribute to efficient case turnover and support a positive patient experience
Participate in quality improvement and adhere to facility policies and protocols

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) credential
Experience or comfort working in Operating Room - General (OR) settings
Ability to perform duties during an 8.5-hour day shift as scheduled
Current basic life support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain (as required by facility)
Strong teamwork, communication, and attention to sterile technique and patient safety

Knowledge & Skills

Perioperative nursing principles and sterile technique
Familiarity with OR workflows, instrument handling, and counts
Patient assessment and monitoring in the perioperative environment
Clear, concise documentation and handoff communication
Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary surgical teams
Adaptability in a fast-paced procedural setting
