Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs and develop individualized care plans
• Implement and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Use nursing clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition promptly
• Provide clear explanations and instructions to patients and their responsible parties
• Maintain complete, accurate medical records and meet Core Measure responsibilities
• Contribute to a healthy workplace by managing conflict with professional communication
• Participate in continuing education to stay current with best practices

Qualifications

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Current CPR/BLS certification required; ACLS required
• Operating Room experience preferred
• Comfortable working a 4x10 schedule with on-call responsibilities
• Relevant unit certifications (ICU, Progressive Care, Cardiac, Cath Lab, Recovery Room, NRP/PALS, etc.) are a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and individualized care planning
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to recognize changes in condition
• Patient education and clear communication with families
• Accurate medical records and documentation practices
• Collaborative work with multidisciplinary teams
• Familiarity with OR protocols and perioperative patient care
• Exposure to critical care areas (ICU, Progressive Care, Cardiac, Cath Lab) is beneficial
