Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, schedule includes weekends (6-9 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule). Schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance; may include Just-In-Time (JIT) facility assignments and floating across Zone 4

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality telemetry nursing care across multiple units in the MS-Tele Float pool
• Assess, monitor and document adult and geriatric patient conditions using EPIC charting
• Manage IV therapies and titratable drips such as heparin safely and per protocol
• Float between facilities within Zone 4 and adapt to varying unit acuities including Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab and PCU/Stepdown
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, charge nurses and monitor techs to ensure seamless patient care
• Prioritize patient safety and escalate concerns appropriately while maintaining excellent communication with patients and families
• Support unit staffing needs by filling gaps and adjusting to Just-In-Time assignments when required

Qualifications

• Active RN license eligible for Kansas submission
• Minimum of 2 years of MS-Telemetry nursing experience within the last 3 years
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS certification required
• Prior telemetry and telemetry monitor experience required; neuro experience preferred
• Comfortable titrating heparin drips and working with Alaris infusion pumps (preferred)
• Experience with EPIC charting preferred
• Reliable transportation and willingness to float across a 60-mile zone; valid driver’s license required

Education

• Active RN license required; BSN not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation for adult/geriatric populations
• IV/drip titration and infusion pump competency (Alaris preferred)
• Strong clinical assessment and prioritization skills in acute care settings
• Proficient documentation in EPIC or similar electronic health records
• Ability to work independently across varied specialties and patient acuity levels
• Excellent communication, teamwork and adaptability for floating roles
