Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate Med/Surg and pediatric nursing care to patients and families
Assess patient condition, monitor vital signs, and respond to changes promptly
Administer medications and treatments safely and according to protocol
Document care accurately in the medical record and communicate changes to the team
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care
Participate in orientation and unit-based training to maintain clinical competence
Advocate for patient- and family-centered care and support discharge planning

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or compact RN license as applicable
Clinical experience in Medical/Surgical nursing and pediatric care preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; PALS or pediatric certifications a plus
Comfortable with assessments, medication administration, and pediatric patient needs
Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong Med/Surg nursing skills with pediatric experience
Excellent patient assessment and clinical judgment
Safe medication administration and documentation practices
Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced healthcare setting
Familiarity with electronic charting/EMR systems is a plus
