Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on Med/Surg pediatric units
Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
Administer medications and treatments safely, following hospital protocols
Monitor patients’ conditions and communicate changes to the care team
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate effective care
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
Document care accurately in the electronic health record

Qualifications

Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license
Med/Surg experience; pediatric experience a strong plus
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Pediatric advanced certifications such as PALS preferred
Comfortable working in a team-oriented, fast-paced clinical environment
Excellent communication skills and commitment to compassionate care

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong patient assessment and clinical judgment
Proficiency with medication administration and IV therapy
Familiarity with Med/Surg and pediatric clinical practices
Comfortable using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
Able to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
Collaborative teamwork and clear communication with families and staff
