Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg pediatric patients with compassion and clinical precision
• Perform comprehensive assessments, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate patient progress
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care and ensure positive outcomes
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge plans in a clear, compassionate way
• Document care thoroughly and promptly in the electronic medical record
• Respond to changes in patient condition quickly and escalate concerns appropriately

Qualifications

• Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Pediatric certifications (PALS) or pediatric experience strongly preferred
• Experience in Med/Surg and/or pediatric nursing preferred
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
• Strong clinical assessment skills and excellent communication with families and team members

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
• BSN preferred when available

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of Med/Surg nursing principles and pediatric care considerations
• Proficiency with medication administration and IV therapy
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and accurate clinical documentation
• Strong critical thinking and triage skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment
• Compassionate patient- and family-centered communication
