Candidate Pay Rate: $62 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, safe medical-surgical nursing care to adult and geriatric patients
• Assess, monitor and document patient status using EPIC in a timely and accurate manner
• Collaborate closely with charge nurses, patient care technicians and the interdisciplinary team
• Safely administer medications and treatments and respond to patient changes
• Float to the ER for 1:1 patient care as needed with calm, confident bedside support
• Complete unit orientation requirements and demonstrate competency on orientation exam
• Adhere to all hospital policies and professional standards (including fingernail/appearance policy)

Qualifications

• Active RN license (eligible to practice in the state of assignment)
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience (MedSurg experience preferred)
• BLS certification required at time of submission
• ACLS preferred
• Valid driver’s license required at time of submittal (used to verify radius eligibility)
• Comfortable working 12-hour shifts and able to float to the ED when requested
• Willingness to complete orientation and pass the required competency exam (90% pass required)

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN acceptable)
• BSN not listed as required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong Medical-Surgical nursing skills and comfort with adult/geriatric populations
• Proficient in EPIC documentation and electronic charting best practices
• Ability to work effectively with charge nurses and patient care technicians
• Experience with 12-hour shift workflows, time management and prioritization
• Solid clinical assessment, critical thinking and patient advocacy skills
• Team player mindset with strong communication and collaboration abilities
