Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to Med/Surg patients using evidence-based practices
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans to support recovery and safety
• Administer medications and treatments accurately, monitoring for effects and documenting appropriately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge care to promote positive outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the patient chart and communicate changes in condition

Qualifications

• Current RN license (eligible to practice in Louisiana)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS) a plus
• Comfortable with Med/Surg patient population and common nursing procedures
• Preferred: prior Med/Surg experience; new grads with strong clinical training are welcome to apply
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient advocacy skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid assessment and clinical judgment for adult medical-surgical patients
• Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
• Familiarity with electronic health record documentation and charting
• Ability to prioritize, triage, and manage multiple patients in a fast-paced setting
• Teamwork, bedside manner, and patient-centered care approach
