Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality Med/Surg nursing care to adult and pediatric patients
• Perform thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately
• Collaborate closely with the full-time Hospitalist physician and the care team
• Respond promptly to patient changes and emergencies with clinical confidence
• Educate patients and families about care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up
• Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining clear communication with leadership

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse licensure or eligibility to obtain RN licensure in Oregon
• Current ACLS, BLS and PALS certifications (required)
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience, with Med/Surg experience preferred
• Comfortable and experienced with 12-hour shifts
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritize care in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong Med/Surg clinical skills for adult and pediatric populations
• Excellent assessment and triage abilities
• Proficient in safe medication administration and monitoring
• Skilled at clear, timely documentation and care coordination
• Good critical thinking, time management, and teamwork skills
• Ability to collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
