Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care on the Med/Surg unit
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor changes in condition
• Collaborate closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
• Respond effectively to clinical emergencies and escalate when needed
• Contribute to unit-based quality improvement and infection control initiatives

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — ability to practice in Georgia preferred
• Experience in Med/Surg nursing; comfortable managing multiple patients
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred or available
• Strong clinical assessment, IV/medication administration, and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities; adaptable to unit needs

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid Med/Surg clinical knowledge and patient assessment skills
• Familiarity with medication administration and titration protocols
• Competence with electronic health records and accurate documentation
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Strong interpersonal skills for patient/family education and teamwork
