Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered Med/Surg nursing care following facility policies and best practices
Perform thorough assessments and timely interventions to promote positive patient outcomes
Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and document accurately
Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members to ensure smooth transitions and discharge planning
Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition, escalating concerns appropriately
Maintain clear, professional documentation and communicate effectively with patients and families

Qualifications

Active RN license in Georgia (or compact RN license acceptable if applicable)
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
Prior Med/Surg nursing experience preferred
Comfortable working 12.5-hour shifts and adapting to unit needs
Strong communication skills, clinical judgment, and ability to work collaboratively

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Solid Med/Surg clinical knowledge and patient assessment skills
Medication administration and IV therapy competence
Ability to prioritize, delegate, and manage workflow on a busy unit
Accurate documentation and charting practices
Team-oriented mindset and effective communication with interdisciplinary teams
