Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to adult Med/Surg patients with professionalism and attention to detail
• Perform thorough patient assessments, monitor condition changes, and communicate findings to the interdisciplinary team
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to care plans and policies
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments and discharge planning to promote recovery and reduce readmissions
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists and support staff to coordinate timely, patient-centered care
• Document clinical care and patient responses clearly and promptly in the patient record
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Georgia RN licensure or compact RN licensure as applicable
• Clinical experience in Med/Surg nursing (recent experience preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS) preferred where relevant
• Current immunizations and ability to pass required background and health screenings
• Strong clinical judgment, ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment, and excellent communication skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid proficiency in adult medical-surgical nursing practices and standards of care
• Skilled in medication administration, IV therapy, wound care and patient assessment
• Comfortable using electronic health records and documenting care accurately
• Team-oriented approach with strong critical thinking and time management
• Patient and family education skills to support recovery and self-care
