Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality telemetry and medical-surgical nursing care to assigned patients
• Monitor cardiac telemetry and promptly escalate abnormal findings
• Assess and document patient status, interventions and outcomes in the EHR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Perform evidence-based interventions, administer medications, and follow safety protocols
• Precept and support other staff as needed and participate in required competency testing

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license (must be verified prior to start)
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• TNCC and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience and comfort working on Medical-Surgical Telemetry units (Telemetry experience preferred)
• Completed Trinity specialty-specific competency testing and skills checklist as part of onboarding

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Medical-surgical nursing practices and patient assessment
• Cardiac rhythm recognition and response
• Strong documentation skills in electronic health records
• Infection control, medication administration and clinical safety protocols
• Effective communication and teamwork in high-paced settings
