Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate medical-surgical nursing care for adult patients on a 12B Medical unit
• Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor clinical status, escalating changes to the team
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document everything in EPIC
• Implement and adhere to infection control and isolation precautions, including COVID and Monkeypox protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to create effective care plans
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and self-care prior to discharge
• Maintain accurate records: skills checklist, certifications, references, and demographic/profile information

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with Nursys license verification required
• Minimum 2 years experience in medical-surgical (M/S) nursing or 12B Medical specialty
• EPIC experience is required — please note EPIC proficiency in your profile
• Completed skills checklist, current certification card, and professional references required for profile
• Work history/resume with no gaps greater than 60 days

Education

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (state-appropriate) with Nursys verification

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record for documentation and orders
• Strong medical-surgical nursing knowledge and clinical assessment skills
• Infection control and isolation precautions, including COVID and Monkeypox protocols
• Accurate medication administration and safe clinical practice
• Clear communication, teamwork, and patient education skills
• Ability to maintain required documentation and credentialing materials
