Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients on a medical-surgical/telemetry unit using keen clinical judgment
• Provide safe, timely medication administration and documentation in Meditech
• Utilize telemetry monitoring and respond to rhythm changes and alarms promptly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive care
• Deliver compassionate patient and family education, especially for stroke and neuro patients
• Participate in unit-based initiatives to maintain high-quality outcomes (infection prevention, CAUTI reduction)
• Support charge nurse and unit operations to maintain patient ratios and smooth workflow

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) with Med-Surg and telemetry experience
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience (per job posting)
• BLS certification (required)
• ACLS and NIH Stroke certification (preferred)
• Comfort with Meditech EMR and remote telemetry systems
• Upbeat, engaged, and compassionate approach to patient care

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong medical-surgical nursing skills and telemetry monitoring expertise
• Proficiency with Meditech electronic medical records
• Ability to manage 5:1 patient ratios effectively
• Familiarity with stroke/neuro care pathways and emergency response
• Excellent clinical assessment, communication, and teamwork skills
