Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to adult med-surg and telemetry patients during night shifts
• Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and outcomes
• Monitor telemetry and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with physicians, cath lab staff, surgical teams, and interdisciplinary colleagues to coordinate care
• Support perioperative and postoperative orthopedic and hybrid cath lab procedures as needed
• Participate in the unit call rotation and assist with staffing needs when requested
• Maintain accurate documentation, adhere to policies, and follow infection prevention and vaccination requirements

Qualifications

• Current RN license to practice in Colorado (required)
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in Acute Care/Med-Surg/Telemetry or similar settings (required)
• Current BLS from the American Heart Association (AHA) (required)
• Current ACLS from the American Heart Association (AHA) (required)
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Comfort working 12-hour night shifts and participating in weekend rotations and call

Knowledge & Skills

• Med-Surg and acute care nursing best practices
• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Post-operative orthopedic care and observation unit experience
• Familiarity with cath lab procedures and peri-procedural patient support
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and documentation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced hospital environment
