Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, compassionate care for laboring patients and support safe deliveries
• Circulate for C-sections in the OR, collaborating closely with surgical and anesthesia teams
• Manage neonatal and adult patient needs immediately post-delivery and during recovery
• Chart accurately and efficiently in Epic to ensure continuity of care and clear communication
• Float between like units as needed, maintaining standards of care across assignments
• Maintain appropriate patient ratios (1:2) while prioritizing safety and patient experience
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate with support services (Respiratory, PT, Pharmacy, etc.)
• Respond to rapid response situations and emergencies with composure and skill

Qualifications

• Active California RN license required (pending licenses are NOT accepted per posting)
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Labor & Delivery (posting lists 2 years required)
• Certifications required: ACLS, BCLS/BLS, NRP, Advanced AWHONN, LA Fire Card
• Experience circulating for cesarean sections in the OR is required/preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Ability and willingness to float between like units
• First-timers noted on the posting as 'accepted' — contact recruiter if you are a newer traveler

Knowledge & Skills

• Labor and Delivery management and hands-on delivery support
• C-section circulation and OR collaboration
• Neonatal stabilization and immediate post-delivery care
• Adult postpartum care and assessment
• Proficiency with Epic electronic charting
• Ability to work effectively at a 1:2 patient ratio
• Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
• Ability to follow AWHONN protocols and emergency response procedures
