Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult ICU patients
Continuously monitor and document patient status, including vitals and ventilator settings
Administer and titrate medications safely and according to policy
Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies and code situations
Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary team members to develop and execute care plans
Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and post-ICU care needs
Maintain accurate and timely electronic charting and handoffs

Qualifications

Active RN license in Louisiana (required)
Current BLS certification; ACLS strongly preferred
Previous ICU experience preferred; demonstrated critical care competency
Strong clinical assessment and patient prioritization skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Critical care assessment and monitoring
Ventilator management and weaning principles
Hemodynamic monitoring and titration of vasoactive medications
IV medication administration and infusion pump management
Proficient with electronic medical record charting
Ability to function effectively in high-acuity, fast-paced environments
