Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
• Monitor and interpret complex patient data, responding quickly to changes in condition
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient-centered care plans
• Administer medications and advanced therapies safely and accurately
• Perform and document thorough assessments, interventions, and patient education
• Advocate for patients and families, ensuring dignity and clear communication during stressful times
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives to enhance outcomes

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing (required)
• Critical care/ICU experience preferred
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfort with 12-hour shift work and ability to respond in high-acuity situations
• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and teamwork mindset
• Ability to maintain certifications and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Active RN license (required)
• BSN preferred but associate degree holders with strong ICU experience are encouraged to apply

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care assessment and monitoring
• Hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator basics
• Medication administration in a critical care setting
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Effective interdisciplinary communication and patient advocacy
• Time management and prioritization in fast-paced environments
