Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents at the Gettysburg center
• Assess patient status and monitor vital signs to identify changes quickly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Document care, observations, and interventions clearly in the medical record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and follow individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — ability to practice in Pennsylvania is required or ability to obtain
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; advanced certifications encouraged
• Comfortable performing clinical assessments and following standard nursing protocols
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with patients and colleagues
• Previous nursing experience preferred but new grads with strong clinical training are welcome

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of nursing fundamentals and clinical assessment
• Medication administration and IV therapy familiarity
• Proficiency with electronic health records and accurate documentation
• Infection control practices and patient safety principles
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time in a busy clinical setting
• Compassionate patient communication and family education skills
