Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients
• Perform rapid triage, assessment, and prioritization in a fast-paced ER
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to implement care plans
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR clearly
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care
• Respond quickly to changing patient conditions and emergency situations

Qualifications

• Active RN license in California (or compact license where applicable)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred or must obtain soon after hire
• Minimum clinical experience in Emergency Room settings preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and ability to work under pressure
• Clear background check and proof of vaccination or exemptions per facility policy

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and emergency assessment skills with rapid decision-making
• IV therapy, medication administration, and wound care proficiency
• Familiarity with ECG interpretation and acute cardiac care basics
• Comfortable using electronic medical records (EMR) for documentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in fast-paced settings
• Ability to manage multiple patients and prioritize workflow effectively
