Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and triage patients quickly and accurately in a fast-paced ER setting
Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill and injured patients
Administer medications, IVs, and treatments safely and according to protocols
Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to coordinate efficient patient care
Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly and promptly
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up plans

Qualifications

Active RN license in California (or compact RN with California authorization)
BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred or willing to obtain
Minimum ER nursing experience preferred — confident in high-acuity environments
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and emergency stabilization skills
Proof of required immunizations and background checks as per facility policy

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Triage and emergency assessment skills
Proficiency with IV therapy, medication administration, and wound care
Familiarity with EHR documentation and clinical workflows
Ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritize multiple patients
Clear communication with multidisciplinary teams and patients' families
Basic familiarity with trauma, cardiac, and respiratory emergency protocols
