Roles & Responsibilities

• Triage and assess patients quickly and accurately to prioritize care
• Stabilize and provide evidence-based emergency care for acute presentations
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document appropriately
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and families during stressful moments
• Maintain accurate, timely charting in the electronic medical record
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license in California (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Current immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced emergency department environment
• Previous ER/ED experience preferred but motivated new grads with ED exposure are welcome

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong triage and emergency assessment skills
• IV therapy, medication administration, and wound care proficiency
• Ability to manage multiple acuity levels and prioritize effectively
• Excellent communication and teamwork in high-stress situations
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Basic knowledge of trauma protocols and emergency procedures
