Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care for patients in pre-, intra-, and post-endoscopy
• Prepare patients and procedure rooms for endoscopic procedures, maintaining strict aseptic technique
• Monitor patients during procedures and recovery, recognizing and escalating changes in condition
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and unit staff to maintain smooth procedural flow
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and discharge instructions
• Participate in unit assignments and float to sister-site endoscopy units as needed

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — must be eligible to practice in Ohio
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Previous endoscopy or ambulatory surgery center (ASC) experience preferred
• Comfortable with pre-, intra-, and post-procedure nursing responsibilities
• Strong teamwork, communication, and patient education skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of endoscopy procedures and peri-procedural nursing care
• Familiarity with ambulatory surgery center workflows
• Ability to monitor and respond to patient clinical changes quickly and confidently
• Competence in sterile technique, patient positioning, and procedure prep
• Clear documentation and electronic charting skills
• Flexible attitude for floating between sister-site endoscopy units
