Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to emergency department patients
Rapidly assess and triage patients to prioritize treatment based on acuity
Administer medications, treatments, and procedures safely and accurately
Collaborate with physicians, techs, and allied staff to coordinate timely care
Document patient care clearly and comprehensively in the medical record
Respond effectively in high-pressure situations, including trauma and code events
Educate patients and families about conditions, care plans, and follow-up

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana or compact RN with verification
Basic Life Support (BLS) required
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred or obtainable
Emergency Department experience preferred; new grads with strong ED clinical skills considered
Current immunizations and any facility-required health screenings

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong triage and assessment skills in a fast-paced ED environment
Proficiency with IV therapy, medication administration, and emergency procedures
Excellent communication and teamwork skills under pressure
Ability to prioritize and multitask while maintaining attention to detail
Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
