Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide timely, compassionate emergency nursing care to patients in the ED
• Perform rapid assessment, triage and stabilization of acute conditions
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers and the ED team for care planning
• Document assessments, interventions and patient responses in the medical record
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and follow-up plans
• Act quickly in high-pressure situations, prioritizing patient safety and outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire or compact RN license
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and PALS preferred or willingness to obtain
• Experience in Emergency Department or acute care settings preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking and communication skills
• Ability to work 12.5-hour ED shifts and adapt to a fast-paced environment

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage, emergency assessment and stabilization skills
• IV therapy, medication administration and wound care proficiency
• Familiarity with emergency protocols and rapid response procedures
• Comfortable with electronic health record documentation
• Team collaboration, clear communication and patient advocacy
