Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients across the lifespan
• Quickly assess, triage, and prioritize patients based on acuity
• Collaborate closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to create and carry out care plans
• Administer medications, start and manage IV therapy, and perform ED procedures per protocol
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient progress in the electronic health record
• Educate patients and families with clear, empathetic communication
• Participate in quality improvement efforts and maintain a safe, efficient ED environment

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Louisiana or compact license as applicable)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
• Experience in emergency nursing preferred, with solid triage and critical care skills
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Current certifications and compliance with facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and triage abilities in an emergency setting
• Excellent critical thinking and decision-making under pressure
• Proficiency with IV therapy, medication administration, and common ED procedures
• Familiarity with electronic health record documentation
• Clear communication skills and strong teamwork mindset
