Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for medium to high acuity cardiovascular patients
• Perform pre-operative and post-operative care for cardiac surgery patients
• Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition with critical thinking and timely interventions
• Utilize EPIC for accurate, timely charting and communication
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and recovery expectations
• Maintain patient safety and adhere to ACLS and BLS protocols during emergencies

Qualifications

• Current California RN license (required)
• Current BLS certification (required)
• Current ACLS certification (required)
• EPIC charting experience (required)
• Minimum 2 years of Critical Care nursing experience (required)
• Comfortable floating to Med/Surg when needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Cardiovascular care and cardiac diagnoses management
• Critical care nursing practices and high-acuity patient management
• Pre-operative and post-operative cardiac surgical care
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record
• ACLS and BLS emergency response protocols
• Ability to manage complex patients with multiple comorbidities
