Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during assigned shifts
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Assess patient status, monitor vital signs, and report changes promptly
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the chart
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions
• Maintain infection control standards and a safe care environment

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license (eligible to practice in New Mexico)
• Previous LPN or RN clinical experience preferred but not strictly required for per-diem roles
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willing to obtain upon hire)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage time effectively during busy 12+ hour day shifts

Education

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN/BSN) or equivalent nursing education

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and clinical observation skills
• Medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting
• Comfortable with basic wound care and IV/line observation
• Ability to prioritize tasks and respond to changing patient needs
• Professional bedside manner and clear communication with patients and family
