Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality radiographic and CT imaging exams per physician orders
• Position patients safely and accurately to produce diagnostic images
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment while following safety protocols
• Assess patients for appropriate care, adapting technique for age and condition
• Document exams, maintain records, and ensure strict patient confidentiality
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations and equipment issues
• Stock and organize imaging areas and ensure a safe working environment
• Assist with scheduling, phone triage, and coordination of patient flow
• Participate in quality assurance, CQI monitoring, and regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with peers, managers, and medical staff to deliver excellent care

Qualifications

• Current California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Graduate of an accredited radiology program with an Associate of Science degree
• ARRT certification preferred
• Two years acute care experience preferred (freestanding diagnostic imaging facility experience may be substituted)
• Proficiency in radiography and CT and experience in at least two imaging modalities
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and adapt to changing priorities
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and a patient-focused approach

Education

• Associate of Science degree from an accredited Radiology Program

Knowledge & Skills

• Radiography and Computed Tomography (CT) expertise
• Imaging equipment operation and troubleshooting
• Patient positioning and age-appropriate care
• Radiation safety and shielding practices
• Quality image production and documentation
• Emergency response and ability to act under pressure
• Scheduling, phone triage, and patient communication
• Familiarity with federal and state diagnostic imaging regulations
