Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ mobility, strength, balance, and functional needs and document findings clearly
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to restore function and independence
• Deliver therapeutic interventions such as therapeutic exercise, gait training, and manual techniques
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and caregivers to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety, and recovery expectations
• Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation and participate in care planning and quality initiatives

Qualifications

• Current license to practice Physical Therapy in Indiana or eligibility to obtain state licensure
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Master’s/Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy considered
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Previous clinical experience in outpatient, post-acute, or contract settings is a plus
• Strong communication skills and compassionate patient-centered approach
• Ability to manage caseload, prioritize tasks, and work collaboratively with a team

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred — or Bachelor’s/Master’s in Physical Therapy

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and functional mobility training
• Skilled in clinical assessment tools, outcome measures, and documentation best practices
• Familiarity with common orthopedic and geriatric conditions and rehabilitation approaches
• Strong clinical reasoning and individualized treatment planning
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to educate patients and families
• Time management and organizational skills to handle a varied caseload
