Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered evaluation and treatment plans that focus on restoring function and improving quality of life
• Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions — exercise, manual techniques, mobility training and adaptive strategies
• Document care thoroughly and timely in the facility EMR to ensure continuity and quality
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on home programs, safe mobility, and injury prevention
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training to maintain high standards of care

Qualifications

• Current Washington state Physical Therapist license or eligibility to obtain licensure
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or relevant degree in physical therapy
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain during orientation)
• Demonstrated clinical skills in evaluation, therapeutic interventions, and patient education
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Bachelor’s or Master’s in related field considered with relevant experience
• State licensure in Physical Therapy required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment and developing individualized treatment plans
• Proficient with documentation in electronic medical records
• Knowledge of therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, gait training, and assistive devices
• Ability to teach and coach patients and caregivers in home programs
• Comfortable working in a pediatric and/or specialty hospital environment (preferred)
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaborative care and family-centered communication
