Location: Sacramento, CA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Part-time, 4-hour shifts (specific start/end times and days to be scheduled with facility). Orientation required. Start date: 2026-04-27

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, patient-centered physical therapy evaluations and treatments
Develop individualized treatment plans and track patient progress
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care
Document interventions, outcomes, and care plans clearly in the medical record
Educate patients and families on exercises, home programs, and injury prevention
Participate in orientation and onboarding activities to get up to speed with facility protocols

Qualifications

Valid California physical therapist license or eligibility to obtain licensure
Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain during orientation)
Clinical experience in outpatient or similar settings preferred
Strong communication skills and a patient-first approach
Ability to complete documentation and follow facility policies

Education

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master’s in Physical Therapy

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, and functional training
Familiarity with patient assessment and outcome measurement tools
Comfortable using electronic medical records for documentation
Ability to educate and motivate patients and caregivers
Good clinical reasoning and time management for efficient 4-hour sessions
