Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat outpatients with a range of musculoskeletal and rehabilitative needs
• Provide direct patient care in outpatient clinics as primary focus, delivering evidence-based treatment plans
• Support inpatient patients when needed, including ER, acute care, and PACU discharges
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document progress clearly and timely
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and safe discharges
• Participate in weekend and holiday inpatient rotations to ensure continuous patient coverage
• Adapt treatment approaches to multiple practice sites and varied patient populations

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist or ability to obtain Vermont PT license promptly
• Demonstrated experience in outpatient physical therapy; inpatient/acute care or ER/PACU experience a strong plus
• Comfortable conducting patient evaluations, creating treatment plans, and documenting outcomes
• Strong clinical reasoning and ability to manage a varied caseload across sites
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent graduate degree in Physical Therapy preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment, therapeutic exercise, and rehabilitation techniques
• Experience with outpatient care pathways and discharge planning
• Familiarity with acute care, ER, and PACU patient needs and safety considerations
• Ability to prioritize caseloads and adapt to rotating site assignments
• Competent documentation and time management in a fast-paced clinical setting
