Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient function, mobility, strength, and pain levels
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to restore function
• Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions including therapeutic exercise and manual techniques
• Monitor patient progress and adjust plans of care for optimal outcomes
• Document thoroughly and timely in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safe mobility strategies

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in Florida (required)
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; related Master’s/Bachelor’s considered
• Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification required or obtained upon hire
• Clinical experience in inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient, or post-acute settings preferred
• Strong assessment, documentation, and time-management skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; patient-centered mindset

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Bachelor’s or Master’s in a related field accepted

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient evaluation and development of individualized treatment plans
• Therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and gait training techniques
• Functional mobility and fall prevention strategies
• Proficient with EMR documentation and care coordination
• Ability to manage caseloads, prioritize, and multitask in a fast-paced setting
• Cultural competence and strong patient/family education skills
