Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy evaluations and deliver effective treatment plans tailored to each patient
• Develop individualized goals and document measurable progress toward functional outcomes
• Educate patients and families to promote independence, safety, and long-term recovery
• Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care and safe discharges
• Perform timely, accurate documentation and contribute to quality improvement efforts
• Use clinical judgment to modify interventions and ensure patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapy license in New Jersey (required)
• Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT preferred) or equivalent clinical training
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Strong clinical assessment, manual therapy, and documentation skills
• Previous experience in rehabilitation settings or contract assignments preferred

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Bachelor's or Master's in Physical Therapy acceptable

Knowledge & Skills

• Orthopedic and neurologic rehabilitation techniques
• Patient assessment, gait training, and therapeutic exercise prescription
• Skilled documentation and care planning
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient education abilities
• Familiarity with safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance
