Shift Type: Sunday-Saturday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Day shift)

Hours per Week: 35

Candidate Pay Rate: $43 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on therapeutic interventions to help patients regain mobility and independence
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on exercises, safety strategies, and home programs to support recovery
• Perform thorough documentation of treatments, progress, and outcomes in a timely manner
• Monitor patient response to interventions and escalate changes in condition to the supervising therapist
• Contribute to a positive, patient-centered environment that promotes dignity and respect

Qualifications

• Current Physical Therapist Assistant license in New Jersey (or compact/state-appropriate credentials)
• Completion of an accredited PTA program (Associate degree or equivalent)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required; additional certifications a plus
• Previous experience as a PTA preferred; new grads from accredited programs are welcome to apply
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team

Education

• Associate Degree (A.A.S.) in Physical Therapist Assistant or completion of an accredited PTA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in therapeutic exercise, gait training, and functional mobility interventions
• Proficient in patient assessment, documentation, and progress reporting
• Familiarity with mobility assistive devices and safe transfer techniques
• Understanding of infection control, safety protocols, and patient-centered care principles
• Comfortable using electronic medical records and following established treatment plans
