Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert perioperative nursing care in the operating room with a focus on vascular and endovascular procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and the multidisciplinary trauma team to deliver rapid, lifesaving care
• Prepare, maintain and ensure sterile field and instrumentation for complex vascular cases
• Respond to call activations and support holiday and weekend coverage as required by the facility
• Document patient care and demographics accurately, including required badge photo and onboarding items
• Support continuous quality improvement and maintain high ratings across the skills checklist

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of assignment (required)
• Minimum prior travel nursing experience in a large Level 1 trauma facility (please note within work history)
• Strong vascular and endovascular operating room experience required
• Willingness to participate in call rotations, holidays and weekend coverage
• High proficiency demonstrated across the facility skills checklist (high ratings expected)
• Current BLS required; ACLS and specialty perioperative certifications preferred

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Perioperative nursing best practices for vascular and endovascular cases
• Level 1 trauma protocols and rapid response workflows
• Sterile technique, instrument handling and OR safety
• Effective team communication in high-acuity surgical settings
• Accurate perioperative documentation and demographic onboarding requirements
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced schedules and variable shift assignments
