Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and assessments to identify functional needs
• Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans focused on patient goals and independence
• Deliver hands-on therapeutic interventions and adaptive strategies for activities of daily living
• Collaborate closely with nurses, PT, SLP and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Document patient progress, treatment plans and discharge recommendations accurately in the medical record
• Educate patients and families on home programs, adaptive equipment and safe functional strategies
• Participate in team meetings, care planning and quality improvement initiatives to enhance outcomes

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist in Massachusetts or eligible for state licensure
• OTR/L credential or equivalent clinical certification preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Demonstrated clinical skills in rehab/contract settings with strong patient-centered focus
• Excellent communication, documentation and interdisciplinary collaboration abilities

Education

• Degree in Occupational Therapy (Master’s, OTD, or equivalent clinical degree) or accredited OT program completion

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ADL/IADL training, therapeutic activity design and adaptive equipment recommendations
• Experience with splinting, positioning and therapeutic modalities used in rehabilitation
• Proficient in clinical documentation and outcome measurement in an EMR environment
• Strong clinical reasoning, time management and caseload prioritization skills
• Ability to coach patients and families and to translate clinical goals into practical plans
