Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality nuclear medicine imaging studies including cardiac, HIDA, VQ, bone, renal, gastric emptying, pulmonary and thyroid exams
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and accurately, including Lexiscan where indicated
• Perform sentinel node injections and lymphoscintigraphy with meticulous technique and patient care
• Operate and maintain Siemens Symbia imaging equipment to departmental standards
• Document exams and patient interactions in Cerner and complete necessary charting promptly
• Provide on-call support on weekends as scheduled, delivering dependable patient care during call hours
• Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure timely, compassionate care and optimal imaging results

Qualifications

• Active Nuclear Medicine Technologist license required to submit
• ARRT (N) certification required OR CT-NMTCB credential accepted
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of hospital nuclear medicine experience preferred
• Experience with Siemens Symbia systems strongly preferred
• Comfortable with on-call weekend coverage and a fast-paced acute care setting
• Not a first-time traveler — prior travel/contract experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine imaging protocols and radiopharmaceutical handling
• Proficiency with cardiac imaging, HIDA, VQ, bone, renal, gastric emptying, thyroid and pulmonary studies
• Experience administering Lexiscan and performing sentinel node injections and lymphoscintigraphy
• Familiarity with Siemens Symbia systems and basic equipment troubleshooting
• Competence in electronic charting systems (Cerner) and accurate documentation
• Excellent patient communication, safety, and radiation protection practices
