Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct clinical treatment services including individual, group, and family psychotherapy
Deliver emergency services, crisis intervention, and timely information and referral
Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to each consumer’s needs
Offer consumer support services and community education to improve outcomes
Consult with staff and stakeholders to coordinate care across programs
Use sound judgment and work independently while documenting clinical activity accurately
Support specialty populations (children, elderly, developmental disabilities, minority and hearing-impaired clients) when qualified under WAC 246-341-0515

Qualifications

Master's degree in behavioral science, nursing sciences, social work, or a related field from an accredited college or university
Washington State licensure as an LMHC, LMFT, LICSW, or MHP
At least 2 years of experience treating consumers in the assigned program area
Demonstrated knowledge of mental health therapeutic techniques and emergency response
Ability to use good judgment, perform responsibilities with minimal supervision, and maintain professional documentation
Qualification under WAC 246-341-0515 required to provide services to specified specialty populations

Education

Master's degree in behavioral science, nursing sciences, social work, or related field (accredited college/university)

Knowledge & Skills

Clinical treatment services and psychotherapy modalities (individual, group, family)
Assessment, crisis and emergency response, and information/referral processes
Understanding of community issues affecting mental health programs
Strong clinical judgment, confidentiality, and professional ethics
Ability to consult, educate the community, and support other staff members
Comfort working independently and managing a full-time caseload
